Song Verse Picture Book
A book created to portray the relationship between myself and the song “My Name” By Aurora. This book is about transformation and self discovery. The path to ourselves is messy, so keep a paper towel on hand.
Book Fabrication
The book was printed and bound with a simple band and leather cover. The cover was embodied with the song title, and embellish with silver corner pieces.
The box was laser cut from acrylic panel, and then epoxied with a thermachrome paint and decorated with silver corner pieces. The paint shifts from black to white when warmed, causing the box to turn white after being handled for long periods. This resembles how self awareness comes from active attention, and how getting out of dark times takes time and work.
Letterpress Card
Card fabricated with metal type in the McNeal Letterpress studio on the University of Minnesota Campus. The idea started off as a vector design in Adobe Illustrator.
